NZVCC Awards - New Zealand Vice Chancellors' Committeee administers a number of postgraduate scholarships.
Technology for Industry Fellowships (TIF) (formerly known as GRIF). TIF scholarships are available for technology based projects involving a university and industrial partner. Technology New Zealand provides student scholarship funding for up to three years. Applications by an industrial company to Technology New Zealand can be made at any time. Students interested in investigating TIF opportunities should contact ITE. A number of approved TIF projects requiring student applicants are available. A condition of a TIF is that the student spends at least 50% of their time at the industrial site and that they are not already an employee of the industrial sponsor.
Industry Sponsors - In some cases the industry sponsor provides funding to support a student's stipend.
Overseas Students - Often the above scholarships are not available to non-New Zealand residents. However, the New Zealand Government, via Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, offers scholarships to selected students from South Pacific and other developing countries. For further information and assistance, overseas students are directed to Massey University's International Students' Office
International Students' Office
Project Costs - For most postgraduate projects within SEAT, an industrial sponsor provides funding for other project costs such as consumables and travel associated with the project
